Artificial Intelligence in educational assessment: A bibliometric review of current applications and future perspectives

Abstract:

This study aimed to examine the studies on the use of artificial intelligence in the educational assessment process using the bibliometric analysis method. Scopus and Web of Science databases were preferred in the study and 733 documents were analyzed. The majority of the documents were published as journal articles and conference papers. In addition, English was preferred in almost all of them. It was determined that the studies on the use of artificial intelligence applications in the Educational Assessment process were carried out in the USA, China and England. The most frequently used keywords in the studies by the researchers were determined as “Artificial Intelligence”, “Students”, “Learning systems”, “human”, “teaching”, “machine learning”, “education”, “humans”.
